Why choose Contact Lenses?
Contact lens wear is a great alternative to wearing glasses, yet many people are missing out on the great visual and lifestyle benefits of contacts in the mistaken belief that they can’t wear them. This is a great shame as they are missing out on:
- Improved peripheral vision
- Sharper vision
- Freedom from glasses
- More stable vision for sport
- New evidence shows that MiSight , progressive contact lenses and Ortho-K can slow the progression of shortsight (myopia) by up to 50% in children and teens.
There are many options available in contact lenses. Some people just wear them part-time for certain activities or occasions; others wear them on a full-time basis instead of glasses.

Good News for Keratoconus
You can now achieve great sight without the normal discomfort associated with rigid gas permeable or "hard" contact lenses. A new mini-scleral lens called the KATT3 has been designed using the latest laser scanning technology. This lens achieves the great vision of a rigid lens but the comfort of a soft lens. This lens is also great for post-corneal graft, post-LASIK and high astigmatims. This new addition to the great choice of keratoconus lenses such as ClearKone. Paul Graham, our principal optometrist is one of the few Australian contact lens practitioners accredited to fit ClearKone by SynergEyes. This is a revolutionary hybrid contact lens that has the comfort of a soft lens but the sharp vision of a rigid gas permeable contact lens. Click here to find out more.
